Indeed Reviews

In the world of job seeking websites, there is one company that is beginning to really catch on; Indeed.com. Indeed.com allows anyone who is looking for a job, in many countries, to be able to use their services to search for free.

One really cool feature about Indeed.com is that as soon as you log onto their website, they already have a close location entered into the ‘Where’ field on the home page. So, if you live in West Palm Beach, FL or near to it, then chances are that will already be there when you log on.

You then only have to enter what it is you are looking for job-wise into the ‘What’ field. If you are looking for a managerial position, then you could type in ‘manager’ into the “What’ field. You can also search for a specific company name, such as Toys R Us.

Once you click the “Find Jobs’ button you are taken to a separate page where you can then search to your hearts content. When you view the results you will see sponsored ads on the top and to the right and other ads just under the sponsored ads on the top of the page. You can also use the tools on the left of the page to refine your search and look by location, company, job type, job title, salary estimate, and more.

Once you find a job posting you are interested in you simply click on the link and you are then taken to yet another page where all the job’s information comes up. Here you will be able to read a description of the job, what the requirements are, what the pay might be, and also have the opportunity to apply right then and there.

The entire design of Indeed.com is almost a carbon copy of Google. So, if you are accustomed to using Google then you will love the way Indeed.com is laid out.

Something new that Indeed.com started doing is allowing those seeking a job to be able to post their resume for potential employers to hopefully find. In order to do so you only have to sign up for a free account and then get to posting. You are allowed to edit your resume anytime and you are even given a unique URL which you can use to send to potential employers. It would look something like this:

indeed.com/me/YourName

There is also no question whether Indeed.com is adding any jobs to their search listings or not. Right on the homepage of the website, you can see for yourself how many new jobs got posted in the last seven days.

Indeed.com’s biggest drawback seems to be the fact that there is no customer service phone number that can be used. Instead, problems must be addressed via e-mail and that can have the tendency to be a bit of an annoyance at times. However, there is also a link that contains some of the most commonly asked questions along with answers, so you may be able to find help without having to rely on e-mail.

  1. We have suffered greatly because of indeed.com. I wish we could give negative stars. We only received secret shopper offers, and other less than stellar offers. What we did get a WHOLE LOT OF was phone soliciting from questionable technical colleges. We checked the box that said we did NOT want this information. Now we cannot keep them from calling. When we block one number, they just use another number. Now we cannot use that phone at all. It just keeps ringing all hours of the day and evening. Stay away from this site. Whatever information you put on it will be sold to just about anyone.

  2. – In a word, unprofessional
    – Unprofessional in their conduct and behavior
    – They are costly and pricey
    – Not all job types are successful, especially senior ones
    – Customer service is terrible
