You’ve Got Your MSA Degree – Now What Should You Do?
Congratulations! You’ve got your MSA degree. Now you might be wondering what you should do. Of course you want to make the most of the degree you’ve just spent a lot of time working towards, but you don’t want to end up in a career that isn’t right for you. Here’s what you could do with your degree to give you some inspiration:
Consider Your Ideal Work Environment
With an MSA degree, you’re lucky enough to be able to select the type of environment you’d like to work in. Some choose to work in the public sectors, some in the private sectors. You could work for a company, the government, or for self employed individuals. Some even choose to go it alone and work from home. It’s up to you whether you’d prefer the security of a job or the freedom of being self employed. Once you’ve chosen your environment, you can choose whether you’d like to do bookkeeping, payroll services, or something else. If you have a dream of starting your own business, you’ll need a CPA designation (Certified Public Accountant). You’re pretty much free to explore your interests in the industry once you’ve got your MSA degree.
Bear in mind that the number of jobs for accountants is set to grow by 16% by 2020. Now that you’ve got your MSA, you’ll have the best career prospects imaginable. You don’t just have to work as an accountant either; you could become an analyst, a management, or land another prestigious role.
