ExecuNet Review

execunet reviewsExecuNet was formed in 1988 and is designed to bring together high-level executives online in a bid to help them improve their network. The site also promises to provide members with exclusive access to six figure vacancies which are unavailable to non-members. To date, ExecuNet, has helped more than 400,000 job seekers and 25,000 companies. It claims to post an average of 25,000 executive positions on its site each year. This exclusive site has generated positive media coverage with national publications such as Fortune and The Wall Street Journal praising the site’s work.

Pricing
Other career networking sites generally avoid charging prospective employees for using their services but ExecuNet is different. It justifies its fees by pointing out that the positions offered are extremely lucrative in comparison to the membership fees:

  • 30 Days: $39
  • 90 Days: $99 – The site says this is a limited time offer as the usual price is $125
  • 180 Days: $219 – The most commonly chosen option
  • 360 Days: $399

After the 30 and 90 day memberships are completed, a 30 day membership is automatically renewed at $39 per month so be wary of this if you want to enjoy a different membership plan or leave ExecuNet altogether. They also have a 30 day money back guarantee which is some comfort for job hunters.

It saves them an enormous amount of time and the site guarantees that all members are thoroughly screened to ensure their suitability. The site also informs companies about market trends as well as allowing them to make high quality connections.

Verdict
As is the case with many exclusive sites, the big downside is an inability to really check out the site without becoming a member. However, you are allowed a 30 day trial which softens the blow somewhat. The fact that ExecuNet enables you to have online meetings with career experts and fellow professionals is a major plus. Also, the jobs advertised are most certainly high caliber openings that may be hard to find elsewhere. For highly qualified and skilled executives, ExecuNet is an excellent resource.

  1. Membership provides a good deal of career help through webinars and downloadable content. Like most similar sites they do push their resume rewriting services and they are very pricey. Job postings are okay at best.

  2. Excecunet is not worth the money! Also, the keep charging you. BUYER BEWARE! I am consulting with a lawyer to challenge their business practices. Prey on people. It’s disgusting, and you get NOTHING for what you pay. DON’T USE THEM!

I have posted to 1000 LinkedIn friends to avoid them at all costs. And the worst thing? When I called to asked them to quit charging my card, they sounded like Ho Hum, we don’t care. Happens every day,
